In my opinion, Bird Watching in Lion Country is a great theoretical approach to the Forex Market. Having said that, it lacks a lot of the so-called "meat" necessary to succeed as a Forex trader. Unless, according to the author, you go for the UPSELL and purchase his personal mentoring (more on that later).
In this book, the author Dirk DuToit, goes into great detail about the difference between Market Wizards and Marketing Wizards.
In other words, those that are true traders versus those that are SCAMS. He does so, without mentioning any specific names. Which is fine, because we don’t mind exposing the real con-artists. 
Throughout the book, he also uses a lot of references to other books that might be worth reading as well. In fact, some that might be worth reading more than his!
The rest of the content in the book discusses how trading shorter timeframes can lead to MASSIVE LOSSES in your trading account.
On the flipside, Dirk provides, in very abbreviated detail, his "Grid System". It’s basically a longer term trading strategy that uses very low leverage and can only generate major gains if you are able to invest large sums of money in your trading account. Not to mention, you can suffer huge drawdowns, using this system, while waiting for the market to turn around.
I have spoken to a few people that went through his mentoring. They stated that they picked up some good information at times, but they found Dirk to be very arrogant and even unapproachable. Based on the fact that the author is a jerk and that Bird Watching in Lion Country is pretty much a sales pitch for his more expensive MENTORING, I give it a mediocre rating. At least he offers a money back guarantee on the book.
No profit and loss statistics from my own testing since the book is mainly all theory.

Forex Tracer has produced the MOST profits of all programs tested.
At first glance, this program looked too good to be true. But strangely, I actually ended up making money with this thing!

Forex Funnel claims it was tested for 4 years before being released to the public. As well as producing up to $600,000 in profits in a single year. But my tests show otherwise.
The account I traded using this made 263 pips over the course of month. While not horrible, this is nothing too impressive. Percentage of winning trades was 68%.
The system uses a mystery set of indicators that tell you when to enter and exit trades on the USD/JPY currency pair.
But what REALLY ticks me off about Forex Funnel is that it only works with the MetaTrader 4 platform.They should be more upfront about this limitation.
That being said, Forex Funnel still did produce profits when tested. Although the profits were not as substantial as Forex Tracer or Forex Automoney. Could be worse I guess.

The Forex Autopilot System was developed by Marcus Leary and with a name like that, I’d be really LEARY of this product!
Supposedly, "the human element" is removed from this system. Sounds so easy right? Think again! This basically means that you can lose your behind and be left without a dime!
In the training materials, Marcus even goes as far as to compare his system to a McDonald’s franchise? Sorry people, we are not flipping hamburgers here - this is YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON THE LINE!
So, what exactly is the secret formula in this autopilot system? It’s some sort of Fibonacci Formula which can predict the "BEST" time to enter the market. BOLONEY!!!
But this piece of garbage seems to have the formula of draining your trading account down extremely well. My month long test of this software resulted in a net LOSS of 347 pips. Average number of winning trades was a pathetic 37%.
To top it off, the program locked up my PC every other time I tried to use it! The "autopilot" must have been disengaged…

Another self-proclaimed "Professional Trader" unleashed this Forex Made Easy knockoff and we all know how much of a RIPOFF that software is…
I think the guy on the cover is smiling because he knows your about to get screwed!
Just like Forex Made Easy, this system seems to be targeted towards total newbies in that it creates magical buy/sell signals. However, it takes a rocket scientist to figure out how to configure and use it in the first place.
Now, is this system going to make you three grand in the first month? No, but how would you like to lose three grand in a week?!
I say, don’t waste your time even looking at this software. Plus, when you sit back and really think about it, this product was probably named "Forex Killer" for a reason:
Because it KILLS your Forex trading account!
